After restructure of the petroleum sector, Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company (ECHEM) was established in 2002 to execute the 20-years petrochemical master plan in Egypt, aiming to optimize the value added of natural resources.
Since the establishment, Echem, in a relatively short period, was able to achieve vast growth and success in becoming a center of attraction and interest of several major global petrochemical companies.
Echem succeeded to accelerate the petrochemicals industry in Egypt by executing 7 mega projects that would place this country to be one of the global petrochemical producers.
