    Olefins are used in the manufacture of virtually all consumer products made with chemicals or plastics. The most important of these are ethylene.

    The main chemicals in this group are alcohols. An important oxygenate Methanol is the starting point for the formaldehyde resins on which the paint, adhesive and decorative-laminate industries depend on.

    Chemical intermediates are used to make a wide range of materials for everyday essentials such as textiles, soaps, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and other plastics.

    Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB) is used to produce Linear Alkyl Benzene Suffocates (LAS).

    It is nearly used in all kinds of detergents and cleaning preparations which include laundry powders and liquids, manual dishwashing liquids, detergent tablets, soap bars and household cleaners.

    Polyolefins are a family of polymers derived from propylene and ethylene. They make up the highest volume of thermoplastic products in the world. They form tough, flexible plastics with a large variety of uses.

    Sidpec is a major producer of PE (Polyethylene) / OPC & EPP are a major producer of PP (Polypropylene) in Egypt.

    Polyolefins uses range from rigid materials for refrigerators, computers and car parts to industrial food packaging and waterproof film. Some polyolefin products have heat-resistant properties that make them ideal for use in, for example, packaging microwaveable food, while others melt easily for use in heat-sealable wrapping. We make several different types of each polyolefin.

    PVC and Polystyrene are used in a wide variety of consumer, commercial and industrial products that people around the world rely on every day. Polymers are used to make products that cannot be made from materials such as wood, steel, glass or aluminum.

    Urea is the most popular and economical of all nitrogen-based fertilizers used worldwide. It is exceptionally versatile and can be used in a range of environmental conditions on a wide variety of crops. Urea is also a major raw material for industrial products, including melamine.

    Ammonia is the chief raw ingredient in the production of urea and is used in the manufacture of other fertilizer products. It may also be applied directly to moist soils to provide high nitrogen content for growing wheat, barley and other crops.
