  The Egyptian petrochemical holding company Echem is fully aware that the creation of economic value cannot be separated from its corporate obligations towards its human capital, society and environment, Echem realized that social responsibility is a strategic tool that opens the door to responsible growth and sustainable development, which is the reason it made an early decision to study the possibility of the development of ISO 26000, incorporating and implementing whenever possible, its recommendations and guidelines in the holding and affiliated companies.

Regarding the field of scientific researches, the company shared in establishment of a new laboratory for petroleum products, Department of Engineering, Cairo University.
